FOCA states that language tests taken abroad are recognised for entry in the Swiss licence. According to FOCA’s guidance note, the following conditions apply:
- The test procedure is approved by the civil aviation authority of the country of the test – in our case: the “ICAO Level” test of the language testing body LTB 112, certified by Austro Control GmbH.
- Levels from tests taken on or after 1 July 2020 are recognised.
- The certificate contains the results of all parts of the test as well as the date and place of the test.

- Copy of the authority’s approval of the testing body

Procedure and content
